Fan Lee

Fan is a Hong Kong and Bristol based artist major in ink painting, calligraphy and music. She was the founder of her own gallery (Fan Art); the Visual Art Consultant for Zheng Art , columnist for some art magazines and a RWA artist  network member.

Fan composes her artworks as a wordless tribute to the mother nature, life and environment. Her works  celebrate the beauty of nature and through a sentimental interpretation of this beauty, hoping to evoke a rethinking of the relationship of humanity with the nature environment and seek the resonance of audiences who share the same aspiration for nature.

Her ink paintings are characterized by the applying of ink brushes, nuance and tonalities delicately manifested to capture the transient moments of lights and shadows, landscapes and the nature.  They  embody both oriental and western aesthetics and bring to the audiences a realm of ethereality that characterizes oriental paintings, yet with a feeling of Western Romanticism.
