Colin is a full time artist and a professional associate of the SAA (Support for all artists, www.saa.co.uk).

Colin has loved art since childhood and over the years he has attended various art courses and workshops. After taking early retirement from the NHS during 2013, he has pursued his art interests by running regular art classes and providing demonstrations and workshops for art groups around East Anglia.

Mediums include watercolour, pastels, oils, acrylics and mixed media.

Colin’s interests vary: Landscapes, townscapes and coastal scenes. Other subjects include portraiture: People, wildlife and domestic animals.

Colin takes inspiration from nature and aims to capture light and mood by use of colour and tone. Although he does not want to be limited by any particular style, he admires the impressionists approach; use of bold strokes with energy and simplification.
